Steve Wallace簡介
Dr. Steve Wallace 擁有在台灣 13 年的英文論文編修經驗，曾在香港中文大學、台灣大學醫學院、台灣大學電子所、清華大學奈米工程、交通大學商學院與微系統研究所以及中央大學企管系授課，致力於傳授科技、醫學以及其他各領域之學術性英文論文寫作，以幫助台灣研究學者得以順利在國際期刊上發表。
從 2001 年開始，Steve 親自編修交通大學博士班學生之期刊論文，並花上數百個小時研究整理其中資訊，研究如何讓台灣研究者更有效率的發表論文於國際期刊。同時，也收集無以計數的期刊評審委員之評論，從中了解如何增進論文刊登於國際期刊之機會。他於 2006年創辦了華樂絲學術英文編修，率領超過 30 位之專業編修及翻譯團隊，協助台灣研究學者修改及潤飾其論文。
置身於學術界的他，已發表於 Journal of Usability Studies、Information Design Journal 及Current Bioinformatics 等期刊，也為 Technical Communication 及 The World Applied Science Journal 期刊擔任審閱者的工作。
Steve 擁有生物學背景和企管碩士學位，並獲得了技術管理博士學位。目前已獲邀至各大專院校、國家級研究單位以及科學園區的公司演講，並將其論文撰寫之方法論大量推廣至全台。同時，也已和數十所全台各地的大專院校、醫院及研究單位合作。Dr. Steve Wallace 已出版了 12 本大學專用之英文教科書，廣被臺灣 28 所大學所採用。
Dr. Steve Wallace has taught at National Taiwan University, National Tsing Hua University, National Central University, National Chiao Tung University and Industrial Technology Research Institute, where he teaches classes in technical writing and conference presentations. His research is about how Taiwanese technical writers can publish more efficiently in international journals. He has collected dozens of editor and reviewer comments on rejected Taiwanese research papers and seeks to identify ways Taiwanese writers can improve their chances for acceptance.
Steve has written 12 textbooks used in 28 universities across Taiwan. He enjoys speaking about technical writing and has spoken at a number of Taiwanese universities, companies and research institutes about academic and technical writing. Steve has a background in Biology as well as an MBA. He completed his PhD in Technology Management. He has taught and edited in Taiwan for 13 years. He is now a permanent resident of Taiwan but still loves to travel and has been to 67 countries around the world. He incorporates experiences from his life and travel into his classroom discussions and enjoys interacting and hearing from students.
